Dayskipper ? What is that ?

Where the teaching material for the Belgian Navigation Licence stops, the teaching material for the Dayskipper course starts. You will build on topics such as navigation, tides, meteorology, safety and so on. You also effectively learn where these concepts come from in this course.

After completing this course, you will have sufficient – at least theoretical – knowledge to navigate by day in familiar waters. This course is designed to give the skipper the necessary confidence to plan day trips and execute them safely.

The RYA Dayskipper course is taught entirely in English. All books and materials provided are also in English.

Target group

Novice skippers (sail or motor) with limited experience who want to learn to sail with knowledge. After attending this theory course, you will complete the necessary practical Dayskipper course to safely take day trips at sea.
